The Grange is a very popular 3 bedroom, 3 bath rental just 3 km outside the very popular village of Lourmarin in the southern Luberon. You can walk or bike into town; the drive takes 3 minutes. The villa has a private pool and is located in a peaceful environment.
Lourmarin has many restaurants, cafés, antique shops and galleries, all found amongst the narrow winding cobblestone alleys. It is a pleasure to wander through the lanes with their vine-clad walls and mature plane trees. Fridays in Lourmarin are dominated by the large market.

Owner's Policy regarding pets: well-behaved dogs allowed. The property is totally enclosed. The owners charge an extra mandatory 50€ fee for cleaning in case of pets. Please specify number and type of pet when making booking requests.
Lourmarin is famous for its 15th-century chateau, built and occupied by the Agoult family for three centuries. Every year the chateau plays host to a summer music festival. There are wonderful piano recitals as well as theatre & Jazz during the months of July & August.

Keeping cool even in the full heat of the Provencal summer, this area offers a perfect retreat if you've had enough of the sun for a while. The fireplace is a working one, but due to fire danger cannot be used in the summer. Firewood is provided for winter rentals.

The Grange has a confortable feel which you sense the moment you enter the property. Because of its age and nature of its construction we know that the property was well designed. As a result, the interior remains cool throughout the year.

The village of Lourmarin is probably most closely associated with the name of Peter Mayle, the author of best-selling books such as "A Year In Provence" and "A Good Year" (the latter of which was adapted for the big screen by Ridley Scott, starring Russell Crowe and Marion Cotillard and filmed mainly in Bonnieux), but was already a favourite destination for tasteful travellers well before this new-found fame. Despite the high-profile residents and visitors the village has seen over recent years, it has refused to become a tourist hotspot and has done an incredible job preserving its authenticity and its charm, two words which probably best define Lourmarin.
